After nearly 6 hours of 10-handed play Brandon Stevens was finally eliminated, and the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event Final Table is set. Making the final table is worth a whole lot more than the prize-money at stake, so it’s understandable why the players tightened up when the play became 10-handed; making the final table guarantees you a sponsorship deal, and really cements your name on the poker landscape.

The “November Nine” -the 9 final table members who will return to the Rio on November 9th and 10th to declare the 2010 WSOP Champion-include a number of Poker Pros, but none more recognizable than the man in 6th place on the leader-board, Mike “The Grinder” Mizrachi. Mizrachi won the $50k Players Championship earlier in the 2010 WSOP, has 2 WPT titles to his credit, and over $7.5 million career tournament earnings.

Joining Mizrachi will be:

  • 1. Jonathan Duhamel - 55,375,000 chips

Duhamel is a Canadian poker pro looking for his 1st big live score; this is the 23 year-olds third cash at the WSOP.

  • 2. John Dolan - 45,300,000 chips

Dolan is another young poker pro looking for his first major win. Dolan got started in tournament by cashing in the 2007 Casino Employees Event at the WSOP.

  • 3. Joseph Cheong - 23,700,000 chips

Yet another young poker pro, Cheong is also trying to make a name for himself with a strong Main Event finish.

  • 4. John Racener - 21,100,000 chips

Racener is one of the most experienced players at the final table -funny to say that about a 25 year-old-and has one of the best resumes of the bunch. With a WSOP Circuit win in 2007, 10 WSOP cashes, and over $1 million in career earnings, Racener will be one of the players to watch in Novemebr.

  • 5. Fillipo Candio - 19,850,000 chips

The Italian poker pro has been tearing up the Italian poker tournament scen for the better part of a year, and is one of Italy’s top-ranked tournament players.

  • 6. Mike Mizrachi - 16,800,000 chips

Mizrachi’s resume speaks for itself, and the 2006 Card Player Magazine Player of the Year has the chance to not only win the $50k Players Championship and Main Event in the same year, but could also win the WSOP Player of the Year award should he finish 1st in the Main Event.

  • 7. Soi Nguyen - 9,800,000 chips

One of the few amateurs to make a deep run in the 2010 WSOP, this is only Nguyen’s 4th live tournament! WSOP.com says he works in the medical supply business, but it’s quite likely they will have to update that to, USED to work in the medical supply business!

  • 8. Matthew Jarvis - 9,625,000 chips

Jarvis is another Canadian player, but unlike chip-leader Duhamel, Jarvis is an amateur poker player and full-time student.

  • 9. Jason Senti - 8,475,000 chips

Senti is well known in online poker circles, do a quick search for PBJaxx, and is looking for his first big live tournament win. He also is an instructor at Phil Galfond’s online poker training site Bluefire Poker. Even with a short-stack, Senti shouldbe on everyone’s “Watch” list.

Despite Duhamel and Dolan’s massive chip advantage, with the blinds 250k/500k with a 50k ante, pretty much one hand could change the entire complexion of the tournament: With the blinds and antes a double-up by short-stack Jason Senti would quickly put him near 20 million chips.
