Card Spike Review
CarkSpike Software
The software is simple and easy to use. As soon you log in, you’ll see news related to promotions, tournaments, and other information that you need to know. From there you can go to cash tables, tournament tables, or casino games with a click of a tab. CarkSpike runs on the Cake Poker network so the players are shared on the network.
The lobby for the cash tables has all the information that a budding poker pro needs to choose a profitable game. You’ll see the average pot size, number of hands played per hour, and average percentage of players seeing the flop. This information is invaluable.
Not only is it a clean, easy to use , but you have a bunch of game features that you don’t see at most poker sites.
Traffic and Game Variety
CardSpike Poker is a smaller mid-sized poker room. It’s our favorite kind of site. These sites don’t attract the online professionals like the top 5 poker sites do and as a result, average players like you and me can earn lots of money.
Like any online poker room, most of CardSpike Poker’s traffic ends up in the No-Limit Hold’em tables. No-Limit players will easily find a game from the $0.02/$0.04 limits up to the $100/$200 limits. This is one of the few sites where it’s easy to find a no limit hold’em game at all limits that are offered. Pot Limit Hold’em is another story entirely. If you want to play pot limit hold’em, you need to be on during peak hours and even then you’ll have to take whatever limits are available.
Traffic in the Limit Hold’em rooms is sporadic, but there’s generally some traffic at low, medium, and high limits.
Omaha sees little traffic at this site as well; and though there are occasionally mid-limit games available, most stakes are around the $0.25/$0.50 mark. The same goes for the Omaha HiLo.
CardSpike Poker also offers games like 7-Card Stud, 7-Card Stud Hi/Lo, Razz, and 5-Card Stud but good luck finding a game here. These rooms usually have only a couple of lone soldiers sitting at the tables.
Cark Spike Tournaments
The tournaments at CardSpike Poker come in a range on games. While most tournaments are No Limit Hold’em, you can also play Omaha tournaments. In fact, one of my favorite tournaments is the Pot Limit HO tournament (Hold’em and Omaha Hi/Lo). The lower traffic at these tournaments means less variance for your bankroll and most of the players are marginal at best.
Softness of Games
We've found the games at CardSpike Poker to be super soft. We spend a little time in the Sit ‘N Go rooms too and we've seen people shoving and calling with all kinds of ragged trash.
The cash games are just as tender. The first time we sat down at a low-limit table I doubled up within 45 minutes. If you’re looking for a fish bowl, CardSpike Poker is your place.
Cark Spike Bonuses
CardSpike Poker has a very impressive bonus going on right now. You get 100% up to $500 In addition, CardSpike Poker is constantly offering you ways to make more money.
CardSpike Gold Chips
When you play at real money games or pay tournament fees, you will earn Frequent Player Points (FPP). As you accumulate FPPs, you begin to fill in your Gold Chip Meter.
Every week you can redeem your Gold Chip for a shot at our Weekly Gold Chip Giveaways. These tournaments may change from week to week (Limit Omaha one week, NL Hold'em the next). Since your Gold Chips do not expire, you are free to use whenever you wish.
CardSpike Poker is a great site. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out. With a great bonus, great features and loose games, it’s one of the best poker sites to play at by far.
